The Nutcracker

The leaves have turned and snow is threatening to fall. Shops are filled with coffee from Arabia, fragrant teas from China, Russian nougat, and German marzipan. Clara and Fritz’s parents are in the midst of preparations for their annual holiday party. The invitations have gone out, including one to the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer. But there is darkness afoot, or rather underfoot, as the Mouse King and his legions of furry beasties plan their post-party raid on Clara’s beautiful dolls. HPSD students, families and friends – don’t miss out in 2010!

The Hyde Park School of Dance will present its 12th annual production of The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm.

The matinee performances will include a Holiday Dance prelude by Pre-Ballet students.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the HPSD office or at the door on the day of the performance, pending availability.
